This past weekend we went to Leesburg to celebrate Presley's 2nd birthday! It was fun catching up with the family, but there is never enough time to see everyone! We did accomplish one major milestone...Dane can now "drive" the kid's gator. Actually watching where he's going will have to be mastered on the next trip but he knows how to make it go!

18 Month Check up
We had Dane's 18 month checkup today. All checked out good and we were all caught up on shots, so he didn't get poked!! He has steadily gained weight since his 15 month checkup so they're no longer concerned about his weight gain, although if you take a look at the video below we were trying to bulk him up with some fitness training. Here are the stats for our little guy at 18 months:
weight - 25lb, 6 oz / 25-50%
height - 34.25 inches / 90-95%
head circ - 19 1/8 inches / 50-75%

14 weeks
Wowsa!! I've heard that the belly pops out earlier with the 2nd child, but seriously I am the same size at 14 weeks as I was with Dane at 20 weeks!!

Outside of my crazy tummy, things are going well. I truly sometimes forget that I am pregnant because I feel so good. I'm a bit more tired with this pregnancy than I was with Dane, however I am now chasing a very active 18 month old all day long so I am sure that is the difference. Cravings are the same: Mexican and Chinese, not so much noodles like with Dane. And...you may think I am crazy (I thought I was the first time I felt it) but I have felt a few movements already with this babe. I didn't think it was possible and truly didn't want to ask by obgyne if it was possible for fear he would commit me to a crazy home, but he said it is possible to feel the baby this early when you've already been through a pregnancy and you know what their movements feel like. It is just very random movements I feel, not every day but we've got a powerful little person in there!

Boy?
This weekend we picked up the Intelligender baby gender predictor. With Dane I knew immediately we were having a boy. This time I haven't had a gut feeling until last week I started to believe this one might be a girl. I truly do not care either way...of course I like the idea of adding a girl to our family, however I also love the idea of Dane having a little brother. The test came out BOY! They say it is 82% accurate, so we'll see in 7 weeks at our next ultrasound if the doctor agrees.
I also just checked the Chinese gender chart and it's saying girl....hmmm, wonder what I'm carrying!

Bergman Reunion Weekend
Friday was another day spent at Wrigley Field...last summer I didn't go to many games since Dane was so little, but over the past 3 weeks I think I have more than made up for it! We went with our friends Luke & Nicole, thankfully they have 2 little ones as well so they wanted to get back right after the game too.On Saturday, we packed up and headed south..waaaayyyy south to Pittsfield, IL for Teresa's family reunion. A nice, long 5 hour trip with an almost 18 month old wasn't the most fun we've ever had but somehow we survived. Lots of movies (thank God for portable DVD players), lots of snacks and a couple stops along the way and we finally made it. The trip back was a little easier, but Dane is just not a kid who can handle being strapped down, especially for that long. He wants to go, go, go. Speaking of...today he decided that he truly has no fear and was standing up on the coffee table and jumped off! I swear to you I watch this kid, but I was making dinner in the kitchen, he was playing nicely in the living room and WHAM! suddenly he was standing on the coffee table and he jumped before I could get to him. He just giggled hysterically and tried to do it again. Thankfully I was right there for the next attempt and pulled him down. The coffee table is now in the garage!

8 Years!

A Week Behind...
Yes, I am a week behind on posting but I have a little guy who's keeping me pretty busy and once he's in bed - I crash. I have been falling asleep on the couch most nights by 9:30. Not sure if it's chasing Dane all day, being pregnant or both but I am definitely wiped out at the end of the day. Therefore my blogging is slacking.
Last Saturday (July 24) we had a group of 12 for a fun day at Wrigley Field...on a rooftop! Jeff, Christy, Brian, Janel, Kurt, Priscilla and a few others came to watch the Cubbies win! We have a ton of pictures from that day, but I'm limiting myself to just a few....
