New School Year

Dane started school on Monday, August 26th. This is a short week for him, however he will be in school 5 days per week from 9am to 11:30am. Kale doesn't start until after Labor Day. We have continued with Crossways Preschool for many reasons and he is so comfortable there, which is always helpful. I think he is glad to be back on a schedule. I think it keeps me much more organized as well!
When Dane grabbed his backpack, Kale INSISTED on taking his as well.
Walking into school, both with backpacks!
At the front door...Dane had to take a family picture and he kept holding it up when I was snapping away.
 Hanging up his backpack.
How crazy is it that in one short year, we will be sending him off to kindergarten??? I know he's in his second year of preschool, but kindergarten sounds so incredibly official!

My New Biz!!

I have just started my own home based business. I shouldn't really call it my own because it is with a well known, established company. I have been thinking long and hard about what job would offer me the flexibility I really need in order to continue being a full time mother. I want to continue having my summers off and also be home during the boys' school breaks so we don't have to hire someone when I have been their full time care giver from birth. I am excited to share that I found the opportunity I have been looking for!
I have just started as a sales consultant for Rodan & Fields...these are the dermatologists that created the Proactiv Acne Solution. They sold that business a few years ago and have created a new, more advanced skin care line. I am still learning about the products and have a long way to go, but I did want to share the information with you all. There are 4 different product lines - Reverse (for sun & environmental damage), Redefine (to reduce & defend against visible signs of aging), Unblemish (more advanced than Proactiv, targeted for adult cystic acne), and Soothe (for rosacia, eczema, ultra sensitive skin).
You can take a look at my website to learn more:
Please let me know if you have any questions or are interested in sampling any of the products, I would be happy to send you something!
Because we all want gorgeous skin....

Randomness

This week we took advantage of this fantastic weather and made another trip to the zoo. This time, Grandma Teresa joined us. We took a ride on the zoo safari train and the carousel too! This annual zoo pass has been an awesome gift and I know we will have the opportunity to use it a few more times before the weather no longer allows it.
Last weekend after returning from our last trip to the lake house, we headed into town to catch the new movie "Planes"

Me and my monkeys...
Our little popcorn hound! The bucket was as big as Kale!
And speaking of Kale, I thought this was a funny read in my US Weekly magazine:
Summer has wiped this one out!
And summer has made this one even funnier...here is his chosen get up for saving baby animals. He was taking them to the rescue center (the top level of their play set). His imagination is amazing!

The End of an Era

We spent this past weekend up at Cameron's parent's lake house in Whitewater, WI. We have spent many weekends there, but this one was a little different....it was our last. They sold the house and close on August 21st. We have amazing memories there....with Cameron's extended family, with my immediate family and with our friends. It was bittersweet and we will definitely miss having that gem an hour away. So happy to have the memories!
We had some extra visitors this weekend too! It was so great to have Barrett and Christy for a few hours on Saturday. Jeff had a sale in Delavan, WI which is just about 20 minutes away from Whitewater. Since Jeff was working, Christy and Barrett came to hang with us at the lake!

While Daddy's Away...

the monkey's will play! Cameron had a big travel week last week....I tried my best to keep the boys occupied. You see, Daddy is waaaaaaay more fun than mommy so evenings are tough because the boys want to be chased and wrestled with and by that time of day, I am wiped out! So we had bonfires and dance parties instead of wrestling because mommy knows how to do that!
