Embryo Transfer

Well...they're in! Today we transferred 2 baby Hatten embryos into their home for the next 9 months. We're really excited and optimistic about it working this time. My day has been spent on the couch with Barley, my ever loyal pooch. Cameron has been waiting on me hand & foot - such a great hubby! I ate Taco Bell for lunch (picture of health & a great first meal for our babies)!! I also watched "Love's Long Journey" based on the book series by Janette Okes. Aside from that I've been pretty lazy today...only because that was the Doctor's orders. Anyway, I thought I should update our blog before hitting the double stuff oreo cookies! Once again - only health food for our little ones! :) I figured I would give myself today for junk food and then start eating more healthy tomorrow. We are hopeful that we will have BIG news in a few weeks...stay tuned! Deuteronomy 7:14 - You shall be blessed above all peoples: there shall not be male or female barren among you.

Fertilized Eggs!

On Wednesday, July 25th, we did the egg retrieval. They were able to retrieve 14 eggs from my ovaries!! That is a great number, even more than the 10 we had the first time we went through this. Today, they called to let us know of the 14...9 were mature and 6 fertilized. So, we have 6 fertilized eggs incubating right now waiting to be placed in their home. Can you imagine? SIX little baby Hattens under a heat lamp growing & developing. So exciting! Stay tuned for new developments on the pregnancy / IVF front!

Summertime Fun in Chicagoland!

This weekend we enjoyed summer fun with our friends! Friday night we went to the Ravinia outdoor concert venue to see the Steve Miller Band! We had a great evening with Luke & Nicole and Luke's coaching staff, wives & girlfriends. The Entire Hatten Family

As many of you know, we ADORE our "baby"...Barley! I know this probably shouldn't constitute a full post, but since I'm new to blogging I have an excuse! Since we're just starting out, I thought I should include pictures of the entire family. So, here we are. By the way...I never knew blogging could be so fun! I'm afraid an addiction is starting!

ME, A BLOGGER?!?!

Okay, so I've started this blog...thank you to Jodie Roose for pushing me in this direction. I thought it would be a great way to keep the family up to date on what is happening in our lives since we live so far away! I love to read Jodie's blog so, I am hoping that people will feel the same way about our blog! :) Who knows...maybe you don't really care about what's going on in our lives, but it's here for you to read anyway.

We've just recently started the in-vitro process again. Once we can safely announce "we're pregnant", I will share this blog link with everyone. Until then, I will keep posting in secret! :) Right now for me (Jen)...it's shots, shots, & more shots. I feel like a pin cushion. We know all that we've gone through will be so worth it when we get to hold our baby (or babies) in our arms for the first time...So, for right now it's just BABY on the brain.

Also, a quick THANK YOU to all who have been praying for the Zehring clan. I know that is what has gotten them through to this point. It's an uphill battle for little Andon, but we're optimistic that with all the medical technology out there today and with God's healing hand - he will beat this monster disease!
