Happy Birthday, Jen!!!

Let me explain...first of all, I didn't post this picture - Cameron did. We play in a volleyball league on Tuesday evenings and at our game last night my entire team showed up wearing this awful tee shirt that Cameron so proudly made for my birthday. Isn't it lovely??? Although I keep telling Cameron I am not yet a cougar, he insists on displaying his craftmanship...so now you understand this post!

Proud to be from Warsaw

Although I haven't called Warsaw, IN home for about 15 years, reading this article took me back to a place I'm proud to be from. It reminded me of my freshman year in highschool when the Tiger basketball team fought to make it to Indianapolis with a HUGE following for the Final 4. Congratulations 2010 Tigers on an amazing season! I've never been more proud of being from a small town and no matter what big city life takes me to, I will always be a girl from Warsaw, IN at heart!

33....woweeeeeeee!!!

First of all let me just say that I cannot believe I am 33. I know 33 is not old by any means, however it's still closer to 35 than to 30. I feel very blessed in my life at 33...I have an amazing husband and father to our son, I have a wonderful little guy that is so full of life that he makes me laugh out loud on a daily basis and I have my dream job - staying at home with our little guy! How could I not be thankful and happy? As I sit here typing, my 13 month old is very aggressively trying to yank a drawer out of the holder in the kitchen and also trying to hang from said drawer at the same time...a day in the life, right? So today I am saying "happy birthday to me!" for I have everything that I always wanted and wasn't sure I was going to have, I feel blessed! As I think back to all of the stupid things I've done in life, I'm thankful for those stupid times because they brought me here to this exact moment of me standing in my kitchen in my pjs with my crazy little boy running laps around my home and my husband at work trying to provide the best life for us! On a side note....I did get an unexpected birthday surprise this morning...a fire in the dryer!

A Day in the Life...

...of our monkey boy! He has quite the personality now-a-days and he's ALWAYS on the go. Nothing gets this guy to stop, even when he's absolutely exhausted he keeps going because he knows if he stops he will fall asleep! We've been taking advantage of the amazing weather the last couple days with lots of walks and trips to the park. Here is a day in the life of Dane...

New Trick!

Poor kid, he's like a dog...we share his new "tricks" on our blog...
Anyway, Dane decided yesterday that he's sick of being picked up and placed on the chair and he can now climb on the chair all by himself. God help me to not turn my back on this child because he will no doubt be eating carpet if I do! Another trick down for Dane always means that mommy has to watch even more closely than before! We're trying to teach him the correct way to get off the chair, but that likely won't sink in for a while. He thinks it's just fine to crawl or walk right off the edge!

Step 1: Just lift your leg a little and push off with your other foot:Now, just crawl.......and scootyour way to a sitting position! I am pretty big stuff!
