Conjunctivitis

Better known as pink eye. Does anyone else know of 31 year olds that get pink eye? Somehow I have managed to get it in both eyes! They've been red since Sunday so I decided I should go to the eye doctor last evening and the diagnosis was conjunctivitis! So, now I'm on eyedrops and I can't wear my contacts for a few days. So silly!

Were you around kids lately? I've only heard of adults getting it when they are around kids... For example, my friend Julie got it after our playdate at ChuckECheese! :) hehehehe. Hope you get better soon. Oh, I had it when I student taught at Purdue too! Take care!

I actually just learned about that in Microbiology. It is common in children who go to day cares and stuff, but adults can pick it up too. You can get pink eye by just airborne droplets so who knows where you picked it up. Did you just have redness, or did you have swelling and pus? I found it intersting that we just discussed it in class, and see you were diagnosed with it.. Hope you recover soon.. Ashley

Jen, I got pink eye last year at school. The doctor gave me drops as well and told me that more than likely it will spread to the other eye, and it did.
It is very uncorfotable but it should strat clearing up in a couple of days. Be sure you wash your hands constantly and tell Cameron to be careful too. Do take care.
