It has been a while since I have updated on the boys so here goes! Dane is our funny, goofy, fun loving, silly all boy kind of boy! The problems we were having with him being a bully seem to be getting better, although we still have the occasional situation. He really does have a heart of gold and we see his sweet side all the time from his "wub you's" to Cameron, me and baby to his hurt look when you raise your voice at him. He is too smart for his own good and impresses us with the new things he picks up on without us teaching him! Dane knows most of his letters by sight, can count to 10 and also knows some of his shapes (heart, star, oval, circle, square, triangle). He loves to be outside and although he's wearing a helmet in much of the video below, we do not make him wear it. It is just one of his many "hats" that he chooses to wear! He loves his baby brother but doesn't quite understand being gentle yet. I think he's come to terms with Kale being here for good and I think he kind of likes it now. He has yet to climb out of his crib so we continue to put off getting him a "big boy bed" (even though he climbs on everything else)!
Kale has been a joy to add to the family. He's a very sweet, easy baby with such a good temperament (even when Dane is about to rip his arm out of the socket as you will see in the video). He rarely cries unless he's hungry or needs to burp. He slept through the night on Sunday night for the first time and I am hoping the trend continues. He loves tummy time and always sleeps on his tummy when he is with us through the day. He is desperately trying to roll over from back to front and is very close. I think he's so desperate to roll over so he can sleep on his tummy at night too. I think once he achieves that, he will sleep through the night every night. We seem to have the acid reflux under control. He is on a special formula and a medicine twice a day, although our pediatrician is hoping that we can switch him to a regular formula around the 4 month mark because his formula costs about twice as much as the others. There is no generic version of it!! Kale smiles a lot and coos too but he hasn't really laughed yet.
All in all, life is good and we feel very blessed to have these 2 little munchkins as part of our world. We are just waiting patiently for nice weather to come and stay for a long time!! This winter seems to never end!
