One Big Catch Up Post

So...obviously we are currently buried in a sea of boxes and we're just looking forward to getting out of this house and getting organized in our rental and eventually when we find our new home. June has been a super crazy month! With all that said, I have several blog posts to catch up on so I'm going to roll them all into one giant catch up post!

We flew out on May 31 to CA for a wedding. We took the boys and rented a house and Cameron's cousin came along to watch the boys for us. Kale woke from his nap on May 30 rocking a fever. I ran him to the doctor that afternoon to rule out an ear infection because I didn't want him to fly with an ear infection. They thought it was hand, foot & mouth and said his rash should show up within the next 48 hours. He handled the flight well even though he had a temp of 101. Tylenol and advil became even better friends of mine on this trip. The rash never came and his fever finally broke on Saturday, June 2. The following day, he got a rash on his ears, neck and torso...roseola?? I think but still not sure. All that said, we did make it to the wedding on Saturday, June 2nd and it was fabulous. It was held at a Vineyard in Yountville, CA (Napa region). The ceremony took place in a courtyard with a lilly pond fountain in the center. We ate under a canopy of leaves, vines and white lights. It was gorgeous....(see below for some pictures of our time in CA).

Mom, Janel and the kids came to help us pack up after we got back from CA. They were such a HUGE help and packed up so much for us!
This past Saturday, June 16th Dane and I had the opportunity to ride on a float in the Libertyville days parade for his school. Dane was so excited about it so we jumped on and road through a HUGE crowd in Libertyville. The parade was quite large with a total of 100 floats participating.
Watching the bagpipers while we were waiting to get on the parade route:
Now I think we're caught up on the big events in our life as of late. Aside from all of this, we've been spending our days packing up and playing in the pool or sprinkler. I hope you're all having a fantastic summer! Hopefully I can manage to update more often once we're moved into our rental.
